Day 8, Green Bay, Wisconsin to Taylorville, Illinois (Green Bay Packers)

We woke up at 8am (sleep in, woo), packed and grabbed some tasty tasty breakfast.

$53 dollars for the night and breakfast. Rad.

Then we headed off to Lambeau Field.
Home of the Green Bay Packers.
Paul's beloved football team.

The training center

Packer licence plates

The hallowed ground

Welcome. Glory.

Only in America

Hallowed Halls

Hall of fame and tour tickets

Found a bike!

There was a whole section showing you how you measured up to the Packers

My hand was much smaller than Paul's.

The locker room

The leap

Our tour guide is the guy in green.
He was amazing.

The field

The evolution of Lambeau Field

Those cars are all parked on farm land.

Locker Rooms are off to the right

The tunnel out to the field.
They play the sounds loudly that the team would hear as they walked out.
Shouting, music, cheering...
Sensory overload.

Very exciting

The packer pro shop was amazing

Packer clutch, which later became mine

Paul's new key chain

Our new decal

I was in full support uniform

Then we drove to Illinois for our anniversary weekend.
We stopped to eat lunch at a rest stop - we had sandwiches and cold cuts and veggies and dip, all that we made ourselves. It was lovely.

We were staying in Taylorville, Illinois at the Market Street Inn. I'll write more about that later but for now here are some awesome shots of our drive from Green Bay, WI to Taylorville, Ill.

It was beautiful.
